“CLEAR, clear choice for uniform processes.”

The waste management companies AVR and Van Gansewinkel have merged with the Van Gansewinkel Groep. GMT's CLEAR application had already been in use by Van Gansewinkel. With the integration of all service activities, all AVR departments involved in collection, shipment and Small Scale Dangerous Waste activities soon started working with this application as well. The software suites, Combitour and Chemis, used by AVR were replaced by CLEAR.

The challenge
Van Gansewinkel has been using GMT's CLEAR application on a company-wide basis for years. The question now was in which application should Van Gansewinkel and AVR’s collection activities be integrated following the integration of both companies. The only condition imposed on the integration was that it had to occur in the shortest possible time. And where possible, logistical advantage had to be gained through the merging of routes. In itself, migration to another application within a short timeframe would present a significant challenge, not to say anything of harmonising both companies’ working methods and optimisation of services.
